About the Role:

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you’ll independently lead risk-based assurance assessments and provide valuable consulting insights. Your focus will include strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance, and enhancing operational effectiveness. You'll work with a range of stakeholders to support business process improvements, taking a proactive approach to safeguard our organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct comprehensive audit reviews aligned with the yearly Internal Audit Plan, approved by Al-Ikhsan’s Board Audit & Risk Committee (ARC).
  • Undertake various audits – financial, operational, investigative, management, and due diligence – building strong relationships across the organisation.
  • Manage the audit cycle from start to finish: planning, testing, validating findings with stakeholders, and crafting actionable recommendations.
  • Present key findings and recommendations to ARC in quarterly meetings, and monitor follow-ups on audit recommendations.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Analyse and evaluate current processes to find better solutions and support the business in meeting its objectives.
  • Lead and manage reporting on project progress, ensuring the organisation continuously benefits from improved practices.

Who We’re Looking For:

An ideal candidate would have:

  • Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience, with a preference for those with retail industry exposure.
  • A proactive, analytical approach to audit and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and present findings with clarity and confidence.
