About the Role

Primary responsibility for conducting Corporate Solutions underwriting assessment of Multinational cases from Local Business Unit, and tracking of agreed pricing parameters for Multinational cases as well as:

- Assists in performing data analytics on Multinational portfolio.
- Support on special projects to improve and streamline the management of Multinational portfolios.
- Streamline and automate as much as possible the existing report generation process
- On non-peak period, assist to handle the tasks related to reinsurance administration & compiling the various reporting for the Multinational business

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preliminary underwriting assessment of Multinational cases from local business unit. This will require understanding on the local pricing basis, liaise with sales to understand business requirements, assess the contribution to the profitability of the pooling portfolio and form a preliminary recommendation on the pricing for the case.

  • Maintenance of pricing log, on quotation, pricing parameters such as local administration cost and Commission.

  • Prepare illustrations for Pooling propositions for Multinational Clients.

  • Assist in calculating Experience Refund reserves of pool cases (monthly basis)

  • Assist in performing data analytics for Multinational portfolio such as profitability, financial analysis, regulatory reporting.

  • Assist in reviewing offshore questionnaire and seek offshore approval from respective countries.

On non-peak period, provide support on

  • Handle the reinsurance administrative tasks like collecting the reinsurance data from local insurer on monthly and perform data reconciliation and analysis.

  • Assist to prepare the annual pool reports that to be sent to clients

  • Assist to collect data and generate this external report for clients on quarterly basis.

  • Participate and contribute for internal process improvement as needed.


Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree major/minor in actuarial science

  • Proficient with MS Excel for purpose of data analytic and data transformation.

  • Basic programming knowledge on Python or SQL is good to have.

  • Detail focused, good problem solving and analytical skills

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Able to juggle multiple concurrent tasks and deliver the tasks based on priorities. Good time management.

  • Able to handle day-to-day corporate communication (via email or call) with different stakeholder like local BU or external insurer.

  • Proficient with verbal and written English and Chinese (Mandarin)

Having work knowledge in finance, insurance and/or employee benefits field are added advantages
