Data Integration Specialist

Azelis grows exponentially, also by acquisition, and the successful data integration of our M&A’s, combined with process standardization and efficiency will accelerate the conversion of the deals into value creation for Azelis.
With digital transformation initiatives, importance of data increased and thus the need for specialists to manage complex data flows between multiple systems and facilitate data-driven decision-making increased.
Reporting Line & Location
The Data Integration Specialist will report to the APAC ERP Manager with functional reporting line to Group Master Data Manager
The role will be based in Malaysia.
Main Accountabilities
The Data Integration Specialist will drive / execute data migrations and make sure to:
- Incorporate data from M&A companies in our state-of-the-art ERP environment, D365 Finance & Operations. This data will have to be collected, cleansed and imported into Microsoft Dynamics 365 using various tools and solutions, in close collaboration with Master Data Manager, Data Stewards, M&A Project Managers, ERP, CRM and BI specialists.
- Contribute to the Data Quality Continuous Improvement initiatives
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Create and enforce policies for effective data integration and ingestion
- Write and maintain documentation of the data integration processes, data mappings and workflows
- Map and integrate M&A master data to existing master data, being compliant with Corporate Master Data Management policies
- Perform Data validation to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness
- Implement data quality checks and validation routines as part of the integration process
- Create reports on data flow status, error logs, and integration performance
- Integrate (Migrate) opening balances for GL, AP, AR and Inventory
- Clearly distinguish between full integrations of new legal entities and hybrid integrations of merging legal entities and set up and execute different dataflows accordingly
- Coordinate data cleansing activities with Master Data Manager, Data Stewards
- Execution of data cleaning activities assigned via our Service Desk ticketing system according to priorities
- Functional leadership: Coach and steer data stewards in the full M&A Data Integration process
- Manage M&A projects and code build versioning in DevOps
- Build strong partnerships with colleagues at all levels, inside and outside the Data, Technology and Digital teams, as well as collaborating with other data experts across the entire organization.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure native tools, a.o. Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Azure SQL
- Prior work experience in IT incl. within the data area: 8 years
- Proficient in Microsoft DevOps
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel
- Functional knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics
- A curious data enthusiast, analytical mindset and passion for problem-solving
- Hands-on
- Learning on the fly: open to change, enjoys challenges and finding solutions
- Customer focus: establishes good connections with external and internal people and maintains good relationships with employees
- Team player and create positive environment
