Job description support

The information systems department is responsible for maintaining the hardware, software, data storage, and networks that comprise the school's IT infrastructure. The ICT Executive role is an expanding position. This position requires a candidate who is both experienced in customer support in an Apple Mac Environment, Microsoft Environment and Google Workspace would be beneficial. The ICT Executive is also responsible for supporting end-user systems and applications and reports to the ICT Manager daily and to the Director of Digital Learning & Principal when there is a need for.

Leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

Maintenance /Preventative Action

  • Undertake preventative maintenance (Hardware/Software) and routine repairs of all non-server end-user computers and associated equipment.
  • Install new equipment and software, while advising on options for enhancements due to new trends and changes in technology applicable to academics.
  • Provide system administration services, setting up new users, maintaining email distribution lists, maintaining the user database, password security, managing access policies and monitoring performance.
  • Maintain a detailed stock record of ICT hardware and peripherals used by the school via the Asset Management system and maintaining equipment.

Support Services & Training

  • Maintain, install, and support the use of computer equipment and peripherals for curriculum and administrative use within the school. Working with teachers, learners, and admin staff alike.
  • Log support and service requests and action taken and provide research or solutions on remedies to be taken via screencasts.
  • Assist in developing and implementation of procedures and guidelines for the correct and safe operation of computing equipment.
  • Create, maintain, and troubleshoot all user accounts, permissions, and policies.
  • Provide training for office systems and applications support via screencasts or for groups and ad hoc basis.
  • Support and Manage Windows and Apple related software and hardware issue
  • Develop & maintain the Technology Development Plan for the school
  • Front and Back End Student Management System support
  • Provide support and maintenance for Application: Office 365, Google Workspace and Apple MDM, Printer management, Remote monitoring software; not limited to and on ad hoc basis
  • Support end points, servers and network applications
  • Provide support and maintenance to AV Room, Hardware equipment’s in Makerspace, Computer Lab, School Hall AV, Special Rooms & Labs
  • User support – helpdesk
  • PC & printer, projector & other ICT equipment setup
  • Software update installation – Imago Boards, Samsung TV, Apple TV, AV Room

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
