Overview:
The Hospitality Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in hotel management and related hospitality subjects. This role includes teaching, curriculum development, and guiding students to develop practical skills aligned with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Curriculum Development
  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on hotel management, customer service, event planning, and hospitality operations.
  • Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments that support the learning objectives of the hospitality program.
  • Continuously update course content to reflect industry trends and best practices.
  • Student Mentorship and Support
  • Provide academic guidance and career counseling to students pursuing hospitality careers.
  • Evaluate and offer feedback on students’ academic and practical performance.
  • Supervise student projects and assist with arranging industry-relevant internships.
  • Industry Collaboration and Networking
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitality industry professionals to support guest lectures, internships, and job placement opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the alignment of program content with industry needs and standards.
  • Professional Development and Research
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay updated on hospitality industry advancements.
  • Participate in research initiatives related to hospitality and hotel management, promoting knowledge and expertise within the program.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management is required. A Master’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry or in an educational setting teaching hospitality-related courses.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel management and hospitality industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology and digital platforms to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in curriculum design and modern teaching methodologies is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset and dedication to providing a supportive learning environment for students.
  • Ability to foster students' skills in both theoretical and practical aspects of hospitality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
