Compounding Technician (Junior Pharmacist)

Location: KL City,Kuala Lumpur

Requirements:

· A Bachelor’s degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in BioTechnology, Biomedical Science, Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics, Pharmacy/Pharmacology or equivalent

· Fresh graduate are welcome to apply.

· Have some experience in medical industry and dealing with doctors will be an advantage.

· Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

· Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint.

· Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.

· Able to successfully prioritize and manage a wide variety of critical and/or time-sensitive job duties

· Required language(s): English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia

Responsibilities:

· Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, help the pharmacists provide medication and other health care products to patients and consumers.

· Reviews order list and creates daily workload, identifies “Add-on” orders and adds them to workload while matching compounded products against outgoing orders Collection, organization, and evaluation of patient information, the management of medication distribution, and providing drug information and education to the patient or consumer.

· The compounding pharmacy technician will be given the task of preparing, dispensing, distributing, and administering medications under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.

· Ensures all raw materials are stored under appropriate storage conditions.

· Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies.

· Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through wholesaler and other vendors.

· Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items. Assist pharmacists in placing orders and delivery of medication.

· Carry out general clerical work such as typing, filling, patients’ data entry and keeping accurate records of transcription.

· Attend to doctors/patients and answers telephones in a courteous and timely manner.

· Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist.

· May also take requests for prescription refills and obtain necessary authorizations.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
