Job Description:
The Chargeman BO Terhad is a critical position responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within our facilities. This role will also involve managing the electrical team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and performing electrical repairs and installations as required. The ideal candidate should be a licensed Chargeman with experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Maintenance & Repairs:
- Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, equipment, and circuits.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the safe operation of all electrical systems in compliance with relevant safety standards.
- System Installation & Upgrades:
- Oversee the installation and upgrading of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all installations are compliant with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead and manage a team of electrical technicians, providing guidance and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations governing electrical installations and maintenance (e.g., Electricity Supply Act 1990, Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994).
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential electrical hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Energy Management:
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.
- Provide recommendations for improving energy efficiency across electrical systems.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare reports on electrical issues, maintenance schedules, and repairs for management review.
- Ensure all work orders and electrical system logs are maintained accurately.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and outages to minimize downtime.
- Provide troubleshooting support during emergency situations, ensuring safety is maintained at all times.
Requirements:
- Education & Certification:
- Possess a valid Chargeman BO license (required).
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Additional certification in safety (e.g., OSHA, Electrical Safety) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Proven experience in managing and supervising a team of electrical technicians.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, circuits, and equipment used in Manufacturing Industry.
- Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
