JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage Legal Research – Pre-Implementation:
- Identify company outdated laws and regulations
- Identify relevant laws and cases
- Prepare creative application
- Apply and justify findings
- Compile findings
Manage Legal Research - Implementation:
- Prepare draft
- Circulate laws findings
- Conduct meeting (where necessary)
Manage Policy, SOP, Guideline and T&C:
- Prepare details (data summary)
- Prepare draft for new/updated
- Finalize and add on any additional clause
- Execution of the new direction
Manage Guidelines/ Circular/ SOP/ Policy of Company:
- Review draft from requestor
- Prepare and amend draft of legal documentation
Manage ALMC (Aafiyat Legal Management Committee):
- Analyse and identify relevant laws
- Prepare and present draft of relevant laws
- Copy documents and circulate to relevant parties
Manage Litigation:
- Assess the weightage of the issue
- Seek advice from external counsel
- Officiate official instruction to external counsel
Manage Contract Management:
- Receive and analyse email/proposal
- Prepare and review draft
- Liaise for director approval
- Communicate on the deliverables
Manage Legal Risk and Advocacy (Risk Management):
- Gather legal risk details
- Prepare legal risk management plan
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or Higher in Law (LLB) or related fields.
- 2-4 years of experience in the related fields
- Minimum LLB (Hons) and admitted to Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience, either in-house or private practice
- Excellent knowledge of corporate law and procedure
- Excellent legal drafting and communications skills and proficiency in English and other languages (written & spoken)
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, managing deadlines to meet stakeholders’ expectations
- Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations, facts and information, and full comprehension of the external environment which influences the Company’s business operations
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with effective communication at all levels of the organization and the ability to maintain strong relationships within various functions
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
