Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Trade Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, managing import and export activities, and implementing effective trade compliance policies and procedures. You will play a key role in minimizing risks and maintaining the smooth flow of goods across global borders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company's trade compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, including customs, export control, and sanctions laws.
- Oversee import and export documentation, classification of goods, and license applications.
- Conduct regular audits of trade compliance processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Train internal teams on trade compliance requirements and best practices.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure smooth and compliant shipment processes.
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and adjust compliance strategies accordingly.
- Manage and resolve any trade compliance issues or investigations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Trade Compliance Manager (minimum [2 years] preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and HTS classification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and training skills.
- Proficiency in trade compliance software and tools is a plus.
Welcome candidates with 4-5 years of experience as :
- Customs Compliance Specialist/Analyst: Experience in ensuring compliance with customs regulations, managing documentation, and interacting with customs authorities.
- Import/Export Coordinator or Specialist: Experience in handling import/export documentation, managing logistics processes, and understanding tariff classifications.
- Logistics Manager or Supply Chain Manager: Experience in overseeing the movement of goods, coordinating with freight forwarders, and ensuring compliance with trade laws.
