 Managing the department assigned, including staffing and stock levels, in a suitable manner, encourage growth, performance and excellence at all times  Consider and develop appropriate stock buying strategy, marketing campaigns and sales  promotions to increase sales revenue for department and overall branch sales performance.  Ensure service level of stock meets the expectation set at all situation.  Manage and control stock level in the store.  Maintain high standards of stock presentation and display at selling floor.  Monitor and ensure signage and pricing are up-to-date.  Assisting in conducting and coordinating stock take / Cycle Count Activities.  Ensuring department is implementing MYDIN policies and procedures.  Manage returns to supplier’s e.g. dented / expired / discontinued / obsolete articles / defective products.  Manage disposal item at respective branch or send to warehouse  Maintain and ensure shrinkage at a minimum level.  Responsible in achieving sales targets for the departments.  Operate and maintain machinery / equipment / computer.  Demonstrate professionalism towards outside contacts – customers and etc.  Take care that deliveries by suppliers are on time and the quantity delivered is the amount, which is ordered.  Ensure that goods received are sent to the selling floor and stock to be kept properly in warehouse  Ensure that continual replenishment is made for all articles on the floor and that staff are given the tasks filling up the shelves accordingly.  Manage staff, counsel, train and discipline them, ensuring high productivity together with Human Resource personnel.  Ensure staffs to attend compulsory training include in sales, stock management, inventory, customer service, cashier and other relevant skills as per required by Management.  As and when carry out any other duties assigned by management.
