Retail and wholesale trade supervisor, plan, organize, coordinate and control the operations of establishments that sell goods on a retail or wholesale basis. They are responsible for the budgets, staffing and strategic and operational direction of shops, or of organizational units within shops that sell particular types of product.

Job Purpose

  • Establish a constant focus on Brand, continually driving engagement, knowledge and passion for the Brand across the souvenir centre team

Tasks include –

  • Determining product mix, stock levels and service standards;
  • Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices;
  • Promoting and advertising the establishment’s goods and services;
  • Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions;
  • Undertaking budgeting for the establishment;
  • Controlling selection, training and supervision of staff;
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Candidate must prossess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Positive attitude passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to identify different customer needs and wants and to provide solutions that will ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain quality customer service for customer satisfaction through optimized processes, giving feedback to country retail team, and conducting retail audit reviews within their specified area.
  • Support country sales & marketing campaigns at Retail point-of-sale
  • Ensure effective implementation and running of outlet Local Store Marketing Programs to achieve maximum target segment penetration and revenue performance
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and recommend tactics to counter any emerging threats by competitors on both an Area and Local level.
  • Implement standardized guidelines & procedures that will track and monitor adherence and performance.
  • Training frontline staff in Best-in-Class Retail
  • Provide direction and coaching to retail staff, supporting the achievement of revenue targets.
  • To source the most cost-efficient local contractors and suppliers for the proper maintenance of store operations and maintain quality of retail experience.
  • Management of outsourced suppliers and outsourced staff to ensure effective running and staffing of Retail outlets.
  • Liaise with country to coordinate and support outlet development and management.
  • Obtain all necessary information to prepare store scorecard and standardized outlet management process.
  • Conduct cash reconciliation reports and cash/credit card transactions of retail outlets in his designated area.
  • Maintains the Petty Cash Fund of his designated area and prepare reports for budgeting and tracking purposes.
  • Coordinate and consolidate data transfer between Express Centers country office.
  • Monitor area performance by implementing a store scorecard sheet.
  • Review and analyse the most effective uses of shipment automation and customer take up at Point-of-Sale (POS)
  • Implement store hours that is most reflective of the needs of customers and ensure that this is consistently implemented in his given area
  • Handle the rostering of store officers and ensure that all frontline staff in his given area has low absenteeism, low in tardiness, is properly groomed at all times.
  • Ensure that outlets in his given area all have proper supplies and marketing collaterals.
  • Monitor staff performance regularly and conduct training or mentoring to staff as he deem fit.
  • Adaptable to change, able to pivot and find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges.
  • Good problem solving skills, able to navigate unexpected situations or conditions.
  • Critical observer-thinker, bringing fresh perspective and offer intuitive solutions and ideas.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
