Job Summary

As a Standard Chartered Relationship Manager Employee Banking, you'll cultivate and nurture strong relationships with corporate clients. You’ll focus on expanding our existing payroll and employee banking base, boosting our share of wallet and revenue, and achieving the bank's strategic objectives. While delivering exceptional customer service and financial solutions, you’ll ensure compliance with operational risk and regulatory frameworks.

About Wealth and Retail Banking
Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) serves more than 11 million clients in many of the world’s fastest-growing markets. Our client continuum spans from Mass Retail to Affluent, including high-net worth clients served by our Private Bank. We leverage digital banking channels with a human touch to provide clients with differentiated products and services such as deposits, payments, financing, wealth management and personalised advice. We also support small business clients with their business banking needs.

Job Tasks:
• Plan and Prospect: In consultation with the supervisor, create monthly plans to generate new business, source, and contact potential clients regularly to maintain a sales pipeline.
• Collaborate and cross sell: Establish strong relationship with Corporate & Institutional Clients, Commercial Clients and Priority Banking partners to increase Payroll / Employee Banking share within their Existing to bank customer segments. Also, to solicit referrals from other parts of the SCB Group and Business Partners, Cross-sell multiple unsecured products to meet the Premier Private Clients and revenue targets.
• Information Database: Build a database on existing Employee Banking customers to support relationship building and cross-selling efforts.
• Portfolio Review and Market Awareness: Review existing Employee Banking customer investment portfolios regularly to maintain relationship and manage cross sell ratios. Stay updated on customer needs and market trends, including competitor programs and activities, to enhance the attractiveness of the program/product differentiation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations and manage credit and operational risk.
Skills and Experience
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum corporate sales experience of 3 years, preferably gained in the banking and financial service industry.
  • Sound knowledge of bank products and services, good marketing and sales management skills.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A Team player
  • Ability to prepare presentations and project summaries for senior executives.
  • Strong collaboration and networking abilities to work effectively with colleagues and other departments within the bank
