Position Summary:
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the daily management of all F&B facilities, including restaurants, bars, and meeting suites. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, this role ensures the highest standards of service and helps plan and direct overall F&B operations. The position also contributes to the profitability and revenue generation of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Performance:
- Assist in planning the F&B department budget and reviewing monthly revenue and expenditure forecasts.
- Analyze and submit month-end reports, addressing any deviations from business plan goals.
- Participate in management meetings to review progress and assist in the development of the annual business plan in the absence of Food & Beverage Manager
- Collaborate with the kitchen and marketing departments to implement profit enhancement programs.
- Prepare and submit post-promotion reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.
- Maintain control measures to ensure costs, productivity, and labor align with the budget.
- Drive team to meet daily, weekly, monthly and annual F&B revenue budget.
Outlet Operation:
- Conduct daily briefings to ensure clear communication with team members.
- Supervise team members to ensure timely completion of tasks according to standards.
- Build relationships with guests and regular patrons, offering personalized service.
- Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally.
- Manage administrative tasks related to cashier and bar operations, ensuring policy compliance.
- Monitor supply levels and cleanliness in compliance with sanitation and hygiene regulations.
- Ensure health, safety, and security procedures are followed.
- Assist other outlets during peak times or as needed.
Team Management:
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and conducting performance reviews for F&B team members.
- Monitor team members’ appearance and professionalism.
- Develop and maintain training programs to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Prepare weekly staff schedules, manage overtime and part timer.
- Conduct monthly meetings to provide updates, gather feedback, and address operational issues.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferably in hotel industry.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong professionalism with a focus on human resources management and business acumen.
- Having bar experience is an additional point.
