We are seeking a Revenue Analyst who is motivated to learn new skills while working within a dynamic team that monitors a complex revenue recognition environment. The team member will be responsible for assisting in accomplishing the following accounting objectives: reviewing booked sales orders to ensure key elements are properly reflected into the system, evaluating orders for key attributes that could potentially impact revenue recognition, working cross functionally with multiple departments to resolve any issues identified within a sales order, and documenting results to ensure compliance with the company’s SOX control environment.
A successful candidate in this role will need strong analytic and communication skills to ensure all orders analyzed meets US GAAP compliance standards. This self-starter candidate will seek solutions cross-functionally from other employees and clearly communicate conclusions verbally and in writing. The candidate additionally must enjoy a work environment that is continually changing and be able to adapt to the challenges of learning new processes and system solutions. We are a publicly traded company with high financial reporting standards that require our team members to be detailed and meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Review sales orders within Microsoft D365 and verify key attributes to ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Fulfillment, Tax, and Accounting to ensure orders are entered accurately and completely.
- Provide reporting on key metrics to management.
- Document order validations and remediations for SOX compliance purposes.
- Update procedure documentation as necessary.
- Partner with others within the company to analyze and implement operation efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis role
- Working knowledge of US GAAP around revenue / ASC606.
- Must be able to manage workload and meet all deadlines.
- Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and detailed oriented
- Microsoft D365 system experience preferred.
- Must be willing to work overtime or flexible hours during critical times.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Be a self-starter and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Excel
- Able to consistently meet reporting deadlines.
- Must be fluent in both spoken and written English
