Overview

As a Game-Based Learning Trainer specializing in teaching game development to children aged 9-15 years old, your role is to inspire and guide young minds in understanding the fundamental concepts of coding, animation, and game development. You will work within school and center environments to create an engaging and interactive learning experience that fosters creativity, problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Design appropriate curriculum, educational resources, assessment procedures, and lesson plans that introduce kids to the basics of coding, animation, and game development.
  • Coaching: Lead interactive and hands-on classes where you'll teach coding languages, game engines, animation techniques, and game design principles. Break down complex concepts into digestible components for young learners.
  • Engagement: Foster an enthusiastic and inclusive learning atmosphere. Encourage teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving through collaborative projects.
  • Project-Based Learning: Guide students through the process of developing their games, from brainstorming ideas to designing characters, coding mechanics, and testing prototypes. Provide constructive feedback to help them refine their creations.
  • Individualized Support: Provide extra help to struggling students and challenge more advanced ones with additional tasks.
  • Progress Tracking: Maintain records of student progress, including their coding projects, and games. Share progress reports with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's development.   • Tech Troubleshooting: Assist students in overcoming technical challenges they encounter during the learning process. Help them debug their code and navigate software tools effectively.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in game development, coding languages, and educational technology. Incorporate new tools and techniques into your teaching methodology.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with school administrators, fellow educators, and parents to ensure a seamless learning experience. Participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in coding languages commonly used in game development (e.g., Scratch, Python, Visual Coding, C programming, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of game engines and animation.
  • Prior experience in teaching, especially with children, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas simply.
  • Creativity and the ability to adapt content to suit different learning styles.
  • Patience and empathy in working with young learners.
  • Knowledge of child psychology and effective classroom management techniques.
  • Passion for both gaming and education, with a genuine interest in nurturing young talents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,200.00 per month
