Role Overview
The Manager of Procurement & Logistics will lead the end-to-end procurement and logistics operations at Ditrolic Energy. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, logistics coordination, and inventory optimization to support the company’s renewable energy projects and company operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in procurement and logistics management.
Duties and responsibilities
Procurement
Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to align with organizational goals.
Manage procurement schedules and oversee department activities to ensure timely and cost-efficient operations.
Lead commodity sourcing, including price negotiation, supplier selection, and evaluation to meet quality and delivery standards.
Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute contracts (formal, short-term, and annual), providing guidance to project managers and operational staff.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to ensure high standards of delivery and service.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers through establishing framework agreements, strategic partnerships
Logistics
Coordinate all logistics operations, including customs clearances, deliveries to project sites, and work order processing.
Monitor and improve logistics processes, space utilization, and equipment protection.
Ensure efficient material flow and optimal inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing holding costs.
Provide regular updates on inventory to reduce variances between records and physical stock.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with company policies.
Prepare key documentation, including Letters of Award, award reports, and variation orders.
Generate reports to monitor supplier performance, inventory levels, and cost management.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in supply chain management, procurement and logistics, business or a related field.
- Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Minimum of 5 years in a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
