Laboratory Technician cum Analyst

Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation of laboratory solutions and reagents. • Support the labelling and sorting of tissue samples. • Aid in the collection, processing, and handling of laboratory specimens in line with established protocols. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of cell/tissue cultures for testing, employing advanced laboratory techniques to isolate and identify specimens. • Assist with the safe and proper disposal of chemical and biological waste. • Help manage laboratory inventory, including stocks and consumable items. • Collaborate with the team to oversee data collection and experimental procedures. • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality control activities to ensure consistent standards. • Update and maintain testing procedures as required. • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support as needed. • Assist in preparing detailed reports on experimental findings. • Contribute to the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation process. • Perform quality control checks on test results to ensure accuracy and validity. • Conduct calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to uphold accuracy standards. • Maintain thorough records and generate reports on results following established procedures. • Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned. Requirements: • Minimum Degree in Science or equivalent. • Qualification and/or knowledge in Microbiology/Chemistry will be an added advantage. • Good understanding of good laboratory practices (GLP). • Self-starter and pro-active • Result-oriented, able to work under pressure and willing to work overtime when situation required • A good team player • Work experience in related capacity is not necessary but will be an added advantage • Fresh graduates/Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.
