Responsibilities 1) Production line setup activities including equipment setup, process alignment with Singapore plant, electrical and mechanical connections to enable the startup of production line. 2) Production license and permit applications through local governmental agencies for membrane production approval. 3) Set up required documentation for membrane production, including SOP, RA, ERP, etc., as per requirements. 4) Align with team in Singapore, plan and source local chemicals required for membrane production. 5) Direct and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing plant. 6) Ensure the quality of produced membrane products meet requirements. 7) Plan and carry out maintenance for equipment. Repair or replace plant equipment as needed. 8) Monitor equipment and ensure that they are in good working conditions. 9) Work with R&D (Singapore) and business units to screen ideas/technologies and conceive technology solutions. 10) Interact with customers/clients/collaborators to identify new needs and initiate solutions. 11) Document project work and report plant activities and status to management regularly. 12) Screen, interview and manage the onboarding process of new hires. 13) Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance. 14) Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times. 15) Provide training and educational materials to staff as necessary. 16) Work with internal resources, suppliers and development partners to execute projects. 17) REGISTERED UNDER DOE Qualifications 1) Minimum Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 2) Proven strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. 3) Microsoft words, excels, power point literate. 4) At least 3-5 years’ working experience as plant manager/in-charge in chemical engineering company or equivalent in Malaysia. 5) Familiar with local regulations on license and permit applications for production.
