Learning & Development - Plan, teach and execute curriculum as well as follow up with age-appropriate activities in accordance with the 21st century teaching and learning approach to engage children in holistic development. - Teach, care, nurture, mentor, motivate, inspire and support all children (including weak/special needs children) to help them tap their best potential in a manner consistent with the school’s vision and mission. - Plan and execute activities for baby toddlers/daycare children of different age groups to engage children in total development during school days and school holidays. - Impart knowledge, skills and good values to children to engage them in total development. - Be a role model of good characters; speech, behaviour and demeanour. 2. Safety & Well-Being - Maintain a clean, safe, and child-friendly environment by adhering to all safety and health regulations. - Supervise children closely to ensure a secure setting at all times, preventing accidents or conflicts. 3. Classroom Management & Environment - Maintain a professional, positive, understanding, warm, helpful and friendly service and organisation image, within the stated policies and practices of the school at all times. - Ensure proper flow of school routines and quality service together with team members. - Ensure upkeep of work space (safe, cosy and inviting) with team members. 4. Communication & Parental Engagement - Take initiative to communicate with parents/guardians on school matters, academic progress, social-emotional development and wellbeing of children. - Establish good communication and bonding with parents/guardians for the best interest of children. - Handle and keep the management or the principal informed of any parents/guardians complaints and feedbacks at the earliest time possible. 5. Other Responsibilities - Assist in school marketing and publicity activities. - Attend all the school meetings and participate in all the school functions as well as contribute to Professional Development and Newsletter articles. - Keep self-updated on latest developments in the field of early childhood education. - Assume any other role as and when necessary. Qualifications and Skills: - Diploma or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred. - Previous experience in a daycare or early childhood education setting is an added advantage. - Have good knowledge in the ICT skills to optimise teaching and learning. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to manage and engage with groups of young children. - Creativity in planning activities and resolving minor conflicts.
