Responsibilities: -Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the team within the insurance department. This includes managing correspondence, and handling day-to-day administrative tasks; organize and maintain insurance documents and records. Ensure that documents are properly filed, indexed, and accessible for reference and retrieval. -Independent and shall assist to liaise with various insurers for the preparation, review, and management of insurance quotations for renewals and new insurances and related documents such as policies, contracts, claims administration, and settlements. -Able to do risk assessments and insurance audits by collecting data, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records and if required, to do insurance risk assessment at different site offices located outside of Kuching. -Serve as a primary point of contact for the department's inquiries and communications. Liaise with internal departments (such as TM and finance), insurers and other parties to facilitate exchange of documents and information relating to insurances. -Such other general administrative support such as handling general administrative tasks in legal department. Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in any discipline, professional Insurance qualification is preferred. -Previous experience working in an administrative role particularly in insurance-related tasks is an added advantage. Skills Required: -Having basic knowledge in insurance with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the insurance field. -Possess continuous learning attitude, skill enhancement, and staying current with industry practices. -Proficient in English (both written and communication), and knowledge of Mandarin as an added advantage. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with digital documentation systems. -Able to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, other departments, and external insurers or agents. -Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy in records and efficiency in tasks. -Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively under pressure. -Maintains strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information. -Knowledge about regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the insurance industry. -Possess valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
