Job Description:
Safety Management
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and operations
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommendations
- Lead safety training programs for all employees and contractors
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain safety documentation and records
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Environmental Management
- Oversee environmental compliance programs and permits
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs
- Coordinate environmental impact assessments
- Develop and implement spill prevention and response plans
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards
- Lead environmental awareness training programs
Emergency Response
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans
- Coordinate with emergency response teams
- Conduct emergency drills and exercises
- Maintain emergency response equipment and supplies
- Liaise with local emergency services and authorities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in safety and environmental management, preferably in oil and gas industry
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and industry regulations
- Strong understanding of HSE management systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and HSE management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards
- Incident investigation certification
- Knowledge of process safety management
- Experience with environmental monitoring and sampling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
