A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is a construction professional responsible for managing all costs associated with building projects, from initial estimates to final figures. The QS ensures value for money while maintaining the required standards of quality and safety. They play a critical role in cost planning, contract administration, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
• Tendering and Contract Administration:
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, and bills of quantities (BOQ).
• Evaluate and negotiate tenders from contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Project Financial Management:
• Monitor project costs against budgets and identify potential cost overruns.
• Prepare regular financial reports, forecasts, and progress claims.
• Manage payment applications, variations, and final accounts.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and evaluate project risks, proposing cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Site Visits and Inspections:
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure work aligns with the budget and specifications.
• Provide cost advice on-site to resolve issues promptly.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain clear and effective communication to ensure smooth project execution.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
