This role requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and deep industry knowledge to ensure effective material planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management. The Supply Chain Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, enhance cost efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Responsibilities: Supply Chain Optimization: • Analyze and optimize supply chain workflows, focusing on reducing costs, improving lead times, and minimizing waste. • Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, such as inventory management, demand forecasting, and supplier performance evaluation. • Use data analytics and process simulations to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements. Material Planning and Procurement: • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure a steady flow of raw materials and components to meet production schedules. • Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships, and negotiate contracts to optimize costs and delivery timelines. • Work with suppliers to resolve issues related to material quality, lead times, and availability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work closely with customer, engineering, production, quality control, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with company goals. • Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring supply chain readiness for ramp-up. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes. Inventory Management: • Develop inventory management strategies to minimize obsolescence and excess stock. • Implement systems to track inventory levels and optimize stock rotations. • Use forecasting models to predict demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly. Compliance and Risk Management: • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including environmental and safety regulations. • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to supplier reliability, geopolitical factors, and market fluctuations. • Implement contingency plans for disruptions in the supply chain. Qualifications: • Diploma or degree in an engineering field. • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain procurement and/or engineering, preferably in the semiconductor industry or contract manufacturing environment. • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices. • Experience with sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and risk management. • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain planning, inventory management, supplier management, and logistics optimization. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. • Strategic thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence. • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Oracle), and digitalization technologies (e.g. Asana, SharePoint). • Familiarity with LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) requirements and adherence to compliance is preferred. • Excellence in Excel.
