Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM Datacap Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The SME will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of IBM Datacap solutions for document capture, processing, and automation. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in IBM Datacap and will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver efficient and scalable solutions that meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design and Architecture: • Lead the design and development of IBM Datacap solutions tailored to business requirements. • Develop workflows for document capture, processing, and data extraction using IBM Datacap. • Collaborate with architects to design scalable and high-performing Datacap architectures. • Ensure seamless integration of Datacap solutions with existing enterprise systems such as IBM FileNet, ECM, or other content management platforms. Implementation and Development: • Configure and customize IBM Datacap for document classification, data capture, extraction, and validation. • Develop custom scripts and rules within Datacap to automate complex document processing tasks. • Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of IBM Datacap across multiple environments (development, testing, production). • Perform end-to-end solution testing and ensure quality delivery of Datacap-based applications. Subject Matter Expertise: • Serve as the technical expert for IBM Datacap, providing guidance to internal teams and clients. • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to Datacap configuration, performance, and integration. • Advise on best practices for document capture, optical character recognition (OCR), intelligent document recognition (IDR), and business process automation using IBM Datacap. Stakeholder Collaboration: • Work closely with business users to gather requirements, define document capture needs, and develop tailored solutions. • Provide technical support and training to development teams and end users on Datacap functionalities. • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure smooth communication and project delivery. Continuous Improvement: • Stay up to date with the latest IBM Datacap product releases, features, and industry trends. • Continuously improve the performance and scalability of existing Datacap solutions. • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to improve automation and processing efficiency. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Datacap design, development, and implementation. In-depth understanding of document capture, OCR, ICR, and IDR technologies. Proficiency in scripting and custom development within the IBM Datacap platform (e.g., Datacap Studio, .NET, VBScript, etc.). Completed at least 2 projects SDLC involving IBM Datacap product Experience with IBM FileNet, ECM, or other content management systems. Strong knowledge of integration with databases, web services, and other enterprise systems. Hands-on experience in navigating, configuring and operating the product. Good knowledge of the product business rules, access management, workflows in scanning, classification, recognition, validation and export of data and document images. Experience or knowledge in test automation involving IBM Datacap Familiarity with Agile project management and development methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Experience in banking domain mandatory IBM Datacap Certification mandatory. Experience in automation technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Knowledge of cloud-based deployments and IBM Cloud Pak for Automation.
