POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages the day-to-day dialysis centre operations administrative together with the clinical, including coordination of patient care, supervision of a professional team which includes multiple nursing staff and other staff as appropriate, and troubleshooting of problem areas. Ensures adherence to dialysis centre policies and to nursing procedures, standards, and practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL
1. Develops, maintains and implements nursing policies and procedures than conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with states and federal laws regulations.
2. Communicates and interprets policies and procedure to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
3. Leads Dialysis Centre initiatives related to nursing staff and patients care issues by chairing and organizing programs, activities, or committees.
4. Regular rounds to monitor Centre Manager carry out the task of making sure patients receive high-quality nursing care and services.
5. Monitors and tracks report for all the incidences that require attention of the management and subsequent support
6. Responsible to ensure awareness and implementation of infection control practice for staff and patients. Establishes, implements and monitors the infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment designed to prevent the transmission of disease and infection.
7. Addressing all major hand-over issues received from PIC, GM & OM which may need to be resolved by the Centre Manager involvement
8. Participates in the preparation of the plan of correction response to an inspection survey, and implements any follow-up QA required for any nursing allegations
9. Keeping good communication with all doctors and specialists about any incidents or issues and seeking their advice and support with any uncertainties regarding a decision or course of action
10. Involves in meetings. Namely:
i. Management, Morbidity & Mortality;
ii. Participate in weekly and monthly management teams; discuss on patient status, census changes, personnel, or patient complaints or concerns.
iii. Operational department and other related meetings eg: Lab and Marketing. To provide exclusive and cohesive team approach for patient care whenever necessary.
11. Instruct, counsel and monitor performance as well as provide performance coaching to Centre Managers, Renal/Clinical Nurses, Staff Nurses, Dialysis Assistants
12. Manages Human Resources activities of dialysis centre in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling and performance evaluations. (Conduct CME, CNE Programs and in service training programs/ external training program)
13. Provides direction, organization, and supervision to all nursing staff to assure high quality of patient care.
14. Coordinates Centre Manager roster and acknowledge nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and provides maximum utilization of manpower based on patient acuity and staffing guidelines while taking into account the skill mix the staff
15. Ensures standard of nursing practice and care comply with regulatory and accrediting agency specifications to meet federal, state and local standards
16. Interacts courteously with customers, family members, employees, visitors, vendors, business associates, and representatives of government agencies
17. Acknowledge submitted monthly reporting, Quality Improvement Activities (QIA) by Centre Manager and ensures all target achieve monthly
18. Develop & implement cost containment strategies
19. Monitors availability of supplies and plans for replacement of necessary items and purchase of new items to assure efficient Dialysis Centre operations
20. Manages and oversees the day-to-day dialysis centre operations system; RIMS, SQL or any related system
21. Demonstrates knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators, and proactively monitors and implements systems to achieve and/or surpass company thresholds
22. Involvement in Peritoneal Dialysis management together with Centre Manager
23. Involve in new project / expansion plan – recruitment, equipment budget and etc
PROFESSIONALISM

2. Contributes to the learning environment conducive for junior nursing and other staff in training.
3. Leads dialysis centre projects, enhancing the standards of care.
4. Ensuring CPD points for all staff nurses meet APC requirement.
5. Assists in the implementation of Avisena Renal Care initiatives.
6. Maintains own personal profile and ensure they meet the requirements for revalidation (APC).
ISOLATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Responsible for own self’s health and comply with health status SOP as stated by Safety Health Environment Department
2. Monitor staff for compliance with OSHA mandates and facility policies on workplace safety. Proactively develop procedures and incentives to promote workplace safety and safe work practices
3. Coordinates and/or develops on-going QA activities for nursing services to monitor nursing compliance with standards and regulatory requirements through rounds, interviews and record reviews. Compiles summary of findings for the Quality Assurance Committee
4. Demonstrate clinical assessment and care treatment skills as per KKM guidelines
5. Provide health education on awareness of infection prevention & control to individual and community as part of discharge health education
6. Review existing infection control and prevention practices to identify areas of improvement

1. Ability to supervise and train employee, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignment
2. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures

EDUCATION & TRAINING
1. Attends all mandatory training and ensure that updates are booked in a timely fashion and agreed by the General Manager
2. Oversees or is responsible for the CAN and QMA certification programs, competency training, and all related records
3. Provides guidance and mentors to new centre manager based on their senior management skill set
4. Successfully complete key learning outcomes from the foundation program during the first month of employment and will complete the main set of competencies within 6 months
5. Act as mentor to preceptor and monitor for trained and untrained staff once appropriate training has been given
6. In charged in ensuring correct usage of equipment and assist in the training of others as required.
