ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Job Title: Chargeman/Electrical Technician Responsibilities & Duties: • Install and maintain wiring, electrical systems, and lighting systems. • Correctly use and maintain the tools of the trade including power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments. • Performance monitoring and continuous improvement of the plant electrical equipment and system towards achieving low operational cost and high plant availability and reliability. • Analyse major electrical equipment and system key operational parameters and initiate measures to prevent and minimise equipment breakdowns and power trip. • Identify and timely notify any plant defects or abnormal conditions to Manager. • Maintain proper documentation of electrical maintenance and other related records. • Supervise sub contractors carrying out electrical work in plant. • Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. • Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Inspecting transformers and circuit breakers to ensure they are up to code. • Coordinating and supervising the Electrician’s in day-to-day activities. • Analyzing unused electrical equipment and discarding the old ones
