In this role you would be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of solar energy systems, such as solar panels, inverters, ACDB, DCJB, MSB and associated equipment. The job scope includes the following responsibilities:
- Scheduled Inspections: Perform inspection on solar panels and associated components to identify issues or damage. This includes checking for dirt, debris, loose connections, and signs of wear and tear.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Plan out cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep solar panels functioning optimally. This may involve removing dirt, dust, leaves, that can obstruct sunlight. This work will be assisted by PV Engineer and working as a team.
- Equipment Repairs: Diagnose and repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged solar components, such as inverters, wiring, and connectors.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of solar systems using online monitoring tools and apps. Identify any deviations from expected performance and take corrective actions.
- Data Analysis: Analyse data collected from solar systems to assess their efficiency and troubleshoot any performance issues. This involve evaluating energy production, voltage, current, and temperature data.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of solar equipment. This includes replacing parts before they fail.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and any repairs or replacements made. Documentation is crucial for tracking system performance and compliance with warranties.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, including working with electricity and ensuring a safe environment for both maintenance personnel and site visitors.
- Upgrades and Enhancements: Stay updated on advances in solar technology and recommend system upgrades or enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, such as severe weather events or equipment failures, to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of the solar installation.
- Communication: Collaborate with other team members, project leads, and solar system owners to provide regular updates on system performance, maintenance activities, and any required repairs or replacements.

- Diploma/Degree in Technical field. Electronics and Electrical Engineering preferred. Other certifications added advantage.
- Minimum 1-3 Years Working Experience in Solar PV System Maintenance
- Possess a valid driver’s license. Able to travel outstation when required
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken
- Good data analytical skills. Ability to interpret and explain through data a must.
- Good working knowledge on Solar PV troubleshooting equipment like Sea Ward PV150, Thermal Camera, Megger Tester & Multi meter
- Fresh graduates with good track record with equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
