Objectives of the Position •Be an integral part in shaping the pioneering, agile and exciting Asia Pacific Communications Services team at the BASF Shared Services Centre Kuala Lumpur (henceforth referred to as ‘Hub) •Effectively support internal, external and crisis communications and events for the market of Thailand, whilst being a part of the Asia Pacific Communications Services team at Hub •Collaborate with communication colleagues in the hub and in the legal entity in Thailand, to ensure consistent and high-quality rollout of the communication strategy across various communications channels (internal and external) Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities 1.Develop bilingual content for internal and external communications on regular and ad hoc basis for example (1) employee letters and announcements (2) media enquiries, corporate website, social media (BASF Facebook/LinkedIn/YouTube, BASF Kids’ Lab Facebook) (3) other communications materials. This includes working closely with business and functional units in the country to develop/translate the stories/communications materials. It also includes working with the digital media team in the hubs for execution 2.Support internal, external and CSR events, which includes (1) localization/design/production of marketing materials (backdrop, posters, banners, flyers, giveaways, etc.) (2) localization/development of communications materials (press release, social media posts, speeches, presentations, Q&As, talking points, MC scripts, etc.) (3) analysis and post-event evaluation, admin and logistics (press clippings, thankyou notes, vendor briefing/management/payment etc.). This includes working with design colleagues in the hubs for execution 3.Support in crisis communications including development and localization of standby statement, press releases, employee messages, customer letters, etc 4.Perform translation and localization of global and regional communications materials including news releases, website content as well as videos, in consultation with local counterparts, which involves proofreading and copy editing 5.Review and proofread documents for spelling, grammar, clarity, and clear messaging as required 6.Regularly update country PR documents for example generic presentation, backgrounder, boilerplate, and other standard documents 7.Actively collaborate with the team of colleagues providing other specialist services at the Hub (digital, event planning, branding) to better fulfill stakeholder requirements 8.Continuously develop knowledge about the Thailand market and provide communication services and consultancy Job Requirements (minimum requirement for the position) Education : Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mass communications, journalism, public relations, or related fields Working Experience Significant demonstrated success in internal and external communications in a multinational company or agency environment with a minimum experience of 7 years would be preferred Extensive knowledge about Thailand and familiarity with its culture and language are required Team-oriented and able to work in a collaborative environment Work well under pressure and meets tight deadlines Enthusiastic to upskill and learn about new trends in communications Meticulous attention to detail Technical & Professional Knowledge Strong command of Thai as well as a good command of English language, both written and spoken Good knowledge and understanding of the Thai market and media/social media landscapes Strong content writing in various media platforms Proficiency with basic computer programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Content Management System
