About the Team
The HROP Payroll Ops team strives to be the trusted partner to the employees as we respect and value their opinions and honoring our promise in handling sensitive data with integrity. Responsibilities
1. Responsible and manage full spectrum end-end payroll operations, ensuring payroll result accuracy and timeliness, and maintaining compliance to minimize audit risks;
2. Responsible for statutory processing to ensure compliance per requirement, such as monthly, quarterly, annual tax filings (requests relevant documentation from staff, computes relevant tax processing, produces required report/form for filing to tax authority and staff);
3. Registers/deregisters of countries' statutory social benefits to the relevant authorities;
4. Prepare and process Termination Final payments including all the final calculations for leavers, separation packages and all related submissions for regulatory filings as/when required and any other off-cycle payment runs;
5. Establish and maintain strong relationships with payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery;
6. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to create necessary interfaces and ensure accurate data flow;
7. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data updates, such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other master data changes are reflected in the system in accordance with set priorities;
8. Act as a primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly. Including address and investigate discrepancies such as underpayment or overpayment, coordinating with relevant departments as needed, providing employees with information regarding pay schedules, deductions, and adjustments;
9. Respond to queries and requests from key stakeholders, including HR Operations, HRIS, IT, Legal, Accounting and Finance, and HR Business Partners, etc.;
10. Review tax reports and returns, address discrepancies and process necessary amendments;
11. Proactive to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the HR Operations;
12. Ensure procedures are compliant with legal and audit requirements;
13. Preparation of monthly/yearly payroll reports, etc.;
14. Adheres to company policies and procedures and complies with relevant law;
15. Identifying and developing process improvement plans when required;
16. Prepare and maintain comprehensive payroll documentation, including procedures, policies, and FAQs;
17. Perform Adhoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Human Resources/ Business or equivalent;
2. 3-5 years working experience with APAC payroll background. 3 years of Vietnam/Thailand/ANZ Payroll processing experience;
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the organization;
4. Experience with end to end payroll cycle including Statutory Year End Filing;
5. Previous exposure to payroll and employee taxes and clearance and liaising with government agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Willing to explore and learn in new areas and able to work under a tight schedule, can handle pressure;
2. Excellent attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
3. Excellent mathematical and calculation skills;
4. Good time management to complete tasks assigned;
5. A good team player but able to work independently;
6. Integrity, positive work attitude and Flexibility/Start-up mindset and able to perform tasks in different areas.
