Barista

Job Duties/ Functions:

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks.
• Provide outstanding customer service as Barista with full product knowledge of our menu.
• Create and deliver all guest orders in a timely and customer-friendly manner.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced regularly to avoid machine breakdown.
• Ensure the station is kept clean, sanitized, and in excellent working condition and also take out the garbage.
• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
• Enhance coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading coffee, retail trade, food service publications, and maintaining personal networks.

Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least: SPM/ “O” Level.
• Requires 2 years of experience and knowledge of using the coffee machine.
• Basic knowledge of brewing coffee.
• Preferably Executive specialized in Food/ Beverage/ Restaurant Service or equivalent.
• Able to work on Shift, Weekend, the eve of Public Holidays, Public Holidays when necessary.
• Must be punctual, maintain a good attendance record, and be able to work under own initiative without supervision.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
