Texas Instruments is looking for an organized and detailed-oriented Tax Accountant. As a Tax Accountant, you will be given an excellent opportunity to gain experience in and exposure to complex tax issues and related responsibilities entailed with working for a multinational company in Malaysia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports with federal tax filing requirements by adhering to requirements, calculating estimated tax payments, advising management on required actions, assembling data for monthly and annual indirect tax and corporate income tax filings, and studying regulations.
  • Respond to financial and tax inquiries from internal and external parties by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpret data.
  • Partnership with external tax advisors to ensure compliances with tax regulations and practices.
  • Furnish tax advice by studying operational issues, applying taxation principles and practices, developing recommendations to local management and others within tax function.
  • Participate in various tax planning activities and assist with special projects.
  • Constantly keeping current with tax regulations and accepted practices by participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
  • Ensure robust controls for transaction processing, tax accounting process and close activities, and tax compliance reporting.
  • Engage in supporting the US GAAP Internal audit, External audit and SOX Compliance.
  • Accomplish finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develop recommendations to optimize current process and procedures and detect inaccuracies.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that streamline and influence TI-level processes within the tax function
  • Collaborate with the other TI sites for best practice sharing and process improvements.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Fresh graduates with 0-2 years of experience since graduation are welcome to apply. Ideally, candidates should have 1-2 years of experience in Tax or Accounting
  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Hons.) or equivalent with full professional qualification of CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Working well in a team environment is imperative in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
  • Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OneSource and SAP
