As a Merchandising Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of product strategies. You will gain hands-on experience in analyzing sales trends, assisting in inventory management, and ensuring optimal product placement to maximize customer engagement and sales. This role offers valuable exposure to the lifecycle of merchandise, from sourcing and purchasing to in-store or online presentation, providing a comprehensive understanding of the retail business.

Key Responsibilities:

Support merchandising and planning activities for the chocolates and confectionery category in the travel retail business.
Analyze sales and profit data, incorporating feedback from store teams to optimize product orders.
Assist with inventory management and shipment coordination to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with local and international suppliers on product ordering, promotional deals, and buying activities.
Provide support with any ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Internship Availability: January 2025 (minimum duration: 3 months).
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Business Administration, Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
Passionate about business analytics and mathematics.
Possess effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
Outgoing personality that thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys engaging with others.
Proficient in logical reasoning, negotiation, and data interpretation.
Microsoft Excel proficiency is a non-negotiable skill.
