Website: https://www.salvationarmy.org/malaysia Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with various kitchen-related tasks. Key Responsibilities: Prepare lunch and dinner according to the menu. Prepare snacks for morning and evening tea. Ensure sufficient boiled drinking water is available. Wash all cooking utensils after use. Maintain kitchen tidiness and cleanliness. Perform housekeeping of refrigerators, chillers, and freezers fortnightly. Supervise and assist residents in the big cleaning of the kitchen. Wash the cooking hood once a month. Collect vegetables regularly from the wholesale market. Serve meals according to the daily schedule. Assist in organizing special meals and parties. Support fundraising activities of the Centre. Perform any other relevant duties as requested by the Assistant Centre Manager. Qualifications Minimum qualification of SPM level. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Good communication skills. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Other Information DUTY HOURS : Under normal circumstances, the hours of duty are as follows: Monday to Saturday: 9.00am – 12.30 noon and 1.30pm -5.30pm As you are expected to perform 45 work hours per week, there may be times that you may be required to perform beyond your above normal hours to fit in with the needs of the Centre or at the discretion of the Assistant Centre Manager Flexibility in work arrangement is expected to fit in with the needs of the Centre.
