Counsellor

Position : Counsellor Department : Centre for Psychological and Counselling Services, HELP University Duties: 1. Provide individual, couples, group, or family counselling sessions to assess emotional, psychological, and behavioural needs. 2. Plan, organize and lead programmes or workshops or events aimed at promoting wellness for campus wide community. 3. Provide crisis intervention and ongoing emotional support to clients facing urgent mental health issues. 4. Help clients develop effective coping strategies and promote mental well-being. 5. Ensure all forms, records and reports with regards to counselling / intervention are up-to-date and ensure confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of work unless there is a safeguarding concern. 6. Any other duties as assigned. Specifications: • Masters Degree in Counselling, Psychology or any related discipline • Registered counsellor under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia • IT Skills – specifically Ms Office (Word, Access and Excel) • Excellent in writing and oral communication skills in English. • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Supervision Received: The candidate reports to the Manager/Head of Centre Relationship/Contacts: Internal : Head of Centre and Manager External : University Representative/Existing and potential partner institutions, Agents, Alumni, potential students, parents and public.
