What is the opportunity? CACEIS was set up in Cyberjaya, Malaysia in July 2023 with approximately 1,000 employees, with the acquisition of RBC investor Services’ European business and Malaysia centre of excellence. As a centre of excellence, the team in Malaysia provides asset services, custody and payments for clients in Europe (Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland and United Kingdom) with a global operating model that maximises efficiencies across time zones, supports 17/5 operational capability with follow the sun model, enhances scalability of our global operations and the implementation of standardized processes. As an Associate Director, you will manage the followings: • Responsible for the aftercare of the Fund Distribution Services team subsequent to the closure of the Hong Kong office • Support the Team Manager in all aspects of daily operations and people management • Accountable for the quality of the services delivered and procedures' validation and implementation • Periodic review of process to refresh understanding of requirements and review for compliance • Responsible for identifying areas where efficiencies and accuracy improvements can be made and implement a plan of action • Accountable for Global Servicing from operating location (includes shifts and work on bank / legal holidays and weekend when required) • Maintain statistics up to date (including daily team checklist update) • Maintain organizational relationship with Management line • Ensure effective resolution of enquiries • Promote quality of deliverables by motivating, coaching and developing team members • Identify and share development and training needs , design training plan for the year What will you do? • Continuation of training support for staff at the receiving location on TA & KYC procedures (Project Aurora & RIPA). • Deliver training and coaching sessions and materials to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development. • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust strategies as necessary to provide on-going support to enhance staff competency. • Assist trainers from training academy team in creation of learning materials repository to ensure knowledge & skill retention. • Provide aftercare to FDS team in KL post closure of HK office. • Optimize and align best practices across departments. • Review of all procedure enrichment. • Day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to the team at the receiving location • Assist in overseeing operational productivity and adherence to established procedures. • Assist in fostering a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and address any BAU challenges if any. • Co-lead with the business manager in leading stand-up meeting, huddle and briefings to highlight important BAU tasks with the team. • Identify and prioritize outstanding tasks or issues related to TA & KYC activities - ensuring all breaks/issues are resolved before handing over the business to the receiving location. • Serve as a point of contact for client enquiries related to fund services activities, ensuring timely and accurate responses. • Plan and organize continuation of training support for special events and/or non-daily tasks that required to be carried out at different intervals of the months/quarterly. • (E.g. RSP, CDSC-Auto Conversion, Monthly Report and Quarterly Review of any other on-going BAU tasks). • Maintain inventory of key controls. • Assist with escalation of operational issues. • Ensure reconciliation KRIS are trending GREEN at all times. • Provide guidance and support in all internal and externals audit handling related to TA & KYC activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies • Audit Ratings. What do you need to succeed? Must-have • Post-secondary education with an accounting/finance concentration or equivalent experience. • 7+ years of relevant experience in relevant Securities Operations/Financial Services and in people management. • English Language (Written/Oral) Proficiency. • Mandarin and Cantonese (Written/Oral) Proficiency. • PC literate in MSOffice applications. • Knowledge in Excel VBA, Macro will be an added advantage. • Proficiency in English language (written / oral) and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese language (written / oral) and verbal communication skills. • Able to work under pressure following tight deadlines and/or S.L.A. requirements • Able to work with others as a strong team player in a fast-paced environment • Willing to take on new challenges and result oriented. • Compliant to rules and procedures. • Independent, confident, self-motivated, pro-active and mature.
