Technical Lead

The Technical Lead is responsible for observance of the rules defined by CACEIS, for the sound design and for the quality of the code of applications developed within his/her scope. He/she supports and assists the various development teams with technical aspects. He/she has specialised expertise and may work on all or part of a project. He/she is the preferred point of contact for the architecture teams in charge of defining the architecture rules and the development tools. Design • Ensures that the development rules are applied and that the tools are used properly. • Contributes to the creation of the Technical Design and approves the Technical Design provided by the development teams, whether those teams are internal or external. • Guarantees the soundness of the code quality and the effectiveness of the solutions chosen. • Ensures the consistency and uniformity of the technical architecture for all applications within his/her scope of intervention. • Designs and feeds the map and diagrams of the detailed technical architecture within his/her scope (UML, database, etc.). • Is the primary point of contact for external providers/suppliers as regards technical topics for the IT business line. • Helps improve or create new applications or services by applying the adopted integration principles. Team support • Provides daily assistance and advice to the IT business line regarding the application of best practices in technical architecture and improving quality in the development phases. • Draws up recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the technical solutions put in place. • Reviews the code of the development teams. • Helps the team advance on methodological and technical aspects; arranges internal trainings. • Takes part in creating and revising technical documentation/standards in the framework of projects. Stability of production • Conducts and coordinates analyses of production problems and proposes action plans. • Defines and implements the alerts necessary to monitor applications in RUN mode. • Validates the IT tests for applications within his/her scope. Technological monitoring • Looks for innovative solutions to integrate new applications or create new solutions; proposes and shares them with the architecture teams for validation. • Promotes CACEIS rules, techniques and frameworks. • Identifies risks and seizes opportunities linked to his/her area of specialisation, communicates them to the appropriate project stakeholders and recommends action plans.
