CACEIS Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally. The Manager Fund Distribution Services will assure the organisation of the day-to-day work of the administration team, act as an escalation point for the oversight teams in the ‘home country’ and support the coaching and development of new and developing team members. Supporting region: Luxembourg Working Hours: 3PM-12AM OR 4PM – 1AM. What will you do? • This position is accountable for providing high quality service through the management of day-to-day activity within Register department. The individual should be a self-starter, motivated person with strong analytical skills. He/she ensures a superior level of service is maintained at all times by managing a team within the Register Departments. He/she should be raising awareness of risks and pending issues across the team, presenting potential solutions and leading calls with clients and other senior staff. The individual should provide exceptional experience in all engagements. • The incumbent will hold a Manager position within the Register team and will be responsible for the various functions which consist of managing all operational tasks and legal reporting while ensuring optimal delivery to clients and rigorous risk management. • Ensuring risk profiling and customer due diligence in line with TA AML/ KYC guidelines or Clients specific KYC policy for accounts and dealers in the funds. • Collecting information and performing classification in line with various regulations such as FATCA, RDR, AIFMD. • Leading & motivating teams/attending to daily staffing items. • Defining standards and procedures to be put in place within the team. • Being the escalation point, adhering to the terms of generally Accepted Transfer Agent Principles, Prospectus, internal policies, plan and execute the processes in order to minimize risk; increase efficiencies and improve quality. • Providing optimal client service and ensure deliveries are in line with SLA • Leading escalation calls with investors, clients and internal stakeholders. • Supporting the migration In or out, audits and UAT as required. • Establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality within the Register management team. • Managing people, coaching, mentoring and leading the team as well as providing training. • Ensure and supervise the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all processes. • Establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality within the Register management team. What do you need to succeed? Must-have • Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to use initiative and excellent attention to detail. • Good interpersonal skills and networking abilities with agents and internal departments and ability to work as part of a team to achieve collective goals. • Good organisation skills, ability to prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines. • Operational Management experience 3-5 relevant industry experience. • Prior exposure to Operational Risk and the corresponding risk monitoring tools • Robust people management capability • As a guideline to ensure a reasonable time is spent in a role, you are expected to have at least 12 months of service in your current role for any lateral move Nice-to-have • Experience business administration and / or relevant operational knowledge and experience • University degree or equivalent desirable. • Relevant systems knowledge desirable, including Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
