• Monitors IT management of the Hotel including reports and effectiveness of the information system. • Handles all procurement IT related equipment and information system. • Reviews and monitors all MIS contracts and supervise the activities of outside hardware maintenance personnel when they come to the hotel. Coordinate all MIS related matters with outside agents. • Ensures that all MIS equipment’s such as Desktop PC, Notebooks, printers, UPS and other peripherals runs with minimum or no down time. • Ensures that all software runs with no output errors, no response time problems and according to specifications. • Cooperates with all other department heads, design, document and implement new computer based procedures that will help the departments run more efficiently or provide better guest service. • Prepares training program and to provide training to computer users. • Schedules the manpower for operating and computer that requires and operator. • Channels and coordinates all new software development. Decides whether to program in-house, with a vendor, or with and outside programmer. • Coordinates all MIS related matters with outside agents. • Performs set-ups and documents procedures relating to security, emergencies, shutdowns, operator entries, amongst others. • Prepares a written report monthly for the MIS Manager covering system performance, description of problems and action taken, recommended solution, program changes and etc. • Assists Hotel guests for Wi-Fi internet connection. • Coordinates and assists vendors on the server maintenance and troubleshooting. • Maintains network, switches and server room in proper manner. • Keys in menu items for all F&B outlets. • Ensures there are sufficient copies of software licenses. • Ensures no illegal copies of software are installed. • On call 24 hours to troubleshoot when system breaks down to ensure minimal interruption to the Hotel operations. Answers immediately to paging or phone calls from the Hotel for speedy remedial action. • Ensures all backup system for all software in the Hotel are in place.
