Let's talk about the team:

The primary role of Financial Shared Services function is to provide a daily operational and documentation support related to account payables/ receivables, invoice processing, payroll etc. Key deliverables include, but not limited to, processing various time and non-time related payments and employee expense management. Accurately computing and documenting all time and labor changes. Reviewing and posting receipts, reconciliations and journal entries.

Let’s talk about the role:

Operations – Financial Accounting

  • Prepare journal entries and ensure the financial data inputs are accurate and timely.
  • Maintain and monitor financial working schedules such as prepayment, accruals, etc
  • Perform account reconciliations, including, bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, etc., and resolve the reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Perform period-end activities in accordance with the financial close schedules and the established group guidelines.
  • Manage external local accountants (where relevant) to ensure timely and proper updates on day-to-day transactions.
  • Attend to and manage queries with timely resolutions and/or escalation.
  • Respond to FP&A queries and post accounting adjustments as required.
  • Support team members through proper knowledge transfer, sharing of resources, knowledge and experience.
  • Assist in preparing and updating work procedures and training materials when required.

Operations – Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare reporting pack and ensure data consistency with ledger for submission purpose as per stipulated deadline and reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile and analyse financial data to ensure the financial books are up-todate and relevant.
  • Support audit request and any form of statutory checks to ensure the financial books are in compliance with the accounting and legislation standards.
  • Perform monthly review of GRNI report and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve any payables aged items.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives in consultation with Manager.
  • Assist in process improvements and project implementation initiatives.
  • Provide support for special projects as needed.

  • Good personal computer skills and familiarity with Windows-based software.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment & adaptable to change.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret financial information and transactions and accounting principles.
  • Good communication and presentation skills in managing various stakeholders across ResMed.
  • Formal accounting qualification or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of working experiences
  • Requires good knowledge of financial terms, concepts and accounting principles
  • Good knowledge of accounting, internal controls, US GAAP and SOX requirements
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work both, independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
  • Display good interpersonal skills, energetic, self-motivated and quick thinking with positive attitude.
  • Experience working in a Shared Services or MNC environment
  • Experience working in an ERP environment
  • Competent computer user with experience of using Microsoft Office software specifically MS Excel

Preferred

  • Experience working in an ERP Oracle environment
  • Other language skills will be an added advantage
