JR67563 Hardware Product EngineerAs a Hardware Product Engineer at Micron, you will have the outstanding opportunity to contribute to the innovation and transformation of memory and storage solutions. You will be instrumental in ensuring the flawless reliability and performance of our brand new products, driving excellence in hardware design and development.
Hardware Field Application Role
- Collaborate with Micron's global factories on complex hardware design-related issues, ensuring world-class solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D to address DFX challenges, following standard methodologies.
- Lead technical activities to ensure the swift and successful resolution of challenges.
- Independently and collaboratively manage technical lead roles within a global cross-functional team.
- Analyze root cause issues of Memory Modules (DIMM, LPCAMM), recommend corrective actions, and drive implementation plans.
- Work closely with the customer support team to deliver timely and effective solutions.
HW Engineering Role: Equivalent experience accepted
- Design, bring up, test, validate, and release complex electronic systems and modules based on new memory technologies and market requirements.
- Ensure flawless signal and power integrity, as well as mechanical and thermal design in electronics systems and modules.
- Develop and implement detailed test and validation plans, ensuring only one prototype leads to the final product.
- Support product certification, NPI, production, and manufacturing, including the transition from engineering to manufacturing.
- Collaborate with external customers, distributors, vendors, and suppliers to initiate innovative designs and resolve issues.
- Coordinate the design, layout, and fabrication of systems and modules to ensure outstanding quality.
Skills & Experience
- A Bachelor/Master degree in Electronics Engineering with 12+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven hands-on ability and comfort using lab instruments like oscilloscopes, power supplies, Electronic Load, DAQ, DMM, and Function Generators.
- Extensive experience with end-to-end product cycles in hardware design, including architecture, circuit design, debugging, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Solid knowledge of high-speed interfaces like PCIE, DDR, ONFI, UFS, and communication protocols like I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, JTAG.
- Outstanding understanding of high-speed board design, SI and PI concepts, and experience in system bring-up, characterization, and debugging.
