Cafe Cook

Café Cook is responsible for all food production including that used for cafe events, banquet functions, café and other areas as required. It involves all of the regular duties associated with preparation and cooking of food, maintaining highest professional food quality, presentation and sanitation standards. The responsibilities included, • Committed to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge. • Understand of recipes and cafe menus. • Food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food handling practices. • Portion, arrange and garnish food, serve food to patrons and advise time of reheating when necessary. • Estimate expected food consumption, then requisition and purchase supplies after consent granted for ingredients purchase. • Wastage control. • Bake breads, rolls, cakes and pastries, cookies. • Prepare simple meal eg: pasta, pizza, doughnuts. • Substitute or assist others during rush periods or during emergency.
