Job Description: Senior Purchasing Executive – Food Supplements Manufacturing Salary: RM 2,500.00 – RM2,800.00 The Senior Purchasing Executive in a food supplements manufacturing company is responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and services essential for production. This role requires a strategic approach to sourcing, cost control, supplier relationship management, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards specific to the food supplements industry. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement Planning: o Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet production schedules and business objectives. o Preparing and Issuing Purchase Order. o Proper filling of Purchase Order, and all correspondences with suppliers. o Ensuring raw materials shall be delivered to factory punctually in accordance with Purchase Order. o Plan and forecast raw material and packaging material requirements based on production demands and sales forecasts. 2. Supplier Management: o Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and services specific to food supplements. o Ensuring raw materials shall be delivered to factory punctually in accordance with Purchase Order. o To check and verify Purchase Order against Suppliers’ Delivery Order and Invoice before submitting to Accounts Clerk for payment process. o Responsible to request sample from new supplier, or new material from existing suppliers for evaluation. o Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply. o Conduct periodic assessments of supplier performance, including quality, delivery timelines, and pricing. o Responsible to request sample from new supplier, or new material from existing suppliers for evaluation. o Assist in sourcing and negotiating for pricing and MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) of raw material 3. Quality and Compliance Assurance: o Ensure all procured materials meet regulatory and quality standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, HACCP, Halal & ISO). o Collaborate with the quality assurance and R&D teams for material approval and compliance checks. o Address quality issues with suppliers and ensure corrective actions are implemented. 4. Negotiation and Contract Management: o Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery. o Draft and manage supply contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. 5. Inventory and Supply Chain Management: o Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking, optimizing storage and costs. o Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
