Engineer - Mechanical Maintenance

Job Responsibilities:- • Supervise mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure quality and timely completion and as per planning. • Mobilize resources for day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities. • Support the maintenance engineer and prepare self to take charge, whenever the maintenance engineer is absent. • Ensure compliance to procedures and best practices. • Assist maintenance engineer and lead engineer in spares identification for procurement. • Effectively support maintenance engineer and lead engineer in preparation of maintenance budget. • Actively support in the maintenance cost reduction drive and its alignment with annual budget. • Support the maintenance engineer by preparing audit related documents whenever required. • Actively participate in troubleshooting and RCA (Root Cause Analysis). • Effectively manage contractors. • Participate in reliability & integrity studies, whenever required. • Implementation of IM and CM recommendations and support maintenance engineer for timely closure. • Carryout preservation activities of spares as per schedule. • Actively take up the workshop repair activities and maintenance of spares. • Ensure a proper and systematic knowledge management a process for self & subordinates. • Maintain history and records. • Ability to work in SAP-PM and SAP-MM modules seamlessly. • Ability to facilitate and support minor projects activities, without compromising maintenance management. • Supervise and support maintenance engineer to mobilize resources for shut down jobs and breakdown jobs. • Carry out LLF and PM as per schedule. • To conduct training programs for executives as well as contractor employees related to technical, HSEF and soft skill subjects. • Ensuring timely closure of maintenance work orders and calibration of measuring instruments. • Actively participate in inventory control of mechanical spares and consumables. • Ensure Shutdown jobs execution as per planning and schedule. • 100% HSEF compliance as per site standards. Job Requirements:- • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Proficiency in SAP-PM and SAP-MM modules. • Problem-solving skills. • Communication and leadership skills.
