POSITION SUMMARY Develop fundraising strategies & activities to increase donations. Build and maintain a positive public image for a company or organisation and increase awareness & create activities to enhance the Home’s visibility. MAIN TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Fundraising · Monitor, record Mail Appeal database (physical appeal or online appeal); and issue address to RD Clerk. · Issue Appeal Letter to Foundations & Corporate. · Donation boxes collection every 2 months. · Marketing & Communication · Establish and maintain a strong relationship with donors, employees, blind & visually impaired community, media and public interest group by writing press releases and other media communications. · Respond to requests for information and press conferences in the correct way of communicating. · Integrate PR initiatives with various marketing activities and provide adequate PR support for new launches. · Develop graphic and video for illustrations, promotional and communication materials. · Develop Social Media strategies and manage all social media content and platforms, as required. · Support in developing and implementing marketing strategies to reach our potential group of donors. · Bring an innovative and compelling approach to content creation and storytelling that achieves an emotional connection with the audience. · Issue minimum 2 newsletters and send out to donors. · Host an awareness project/event annually. · Volunteer Programme · Responding to volunteer request or enquiry within 3 working days. · Assign volunteer to respective department or reason of rejection. · Brief new walk-in volunteers of all the services that need voluntary service. · Establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with volunteer. · To work closely with volunteer and to cater to their plans or programmes. · Maintain and update records of all volunteers and visitors. · Prepare and submit monthly summary report on visitors and group volunteers to superior by end of the month. · To ensure volunteers to fill up Volunteer Feedback form before the end of their services. · Visitor Tour · Establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with visitor. · Establishing tour route, tour description & time arrangement. · Ad Hoc · Handle Ad hoc tasks whenever required by the Management. · The job functions are not only limited or restricted to those stated above. Other duties/tasks may be assigned from time to time by the superiors and management. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Mass Communications majoring in Public Relation, Media Production or New Media and Advertising. 2. Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin. 3. Strong written and oral communication skills in English (MUST) and Mandarin (Preferred). 4. At least 1 years of working experience in the related field. 5. Graphic Design and Video Editing skills are compulsory. 6. Based in Penang. Job Type: Full-time
