The Restaurant Hostess / Receptionist / Cashier is an important function that ensures our visitors feel greeted and valued from the moment they walk into the restaurant. You will be the initial point of contact for consumers, taking reservations, greeting guests, resolving customer inquiries, and accepting payments. This job demands great communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the restaurant. - Manage reservations, answer phone calls, and assist with booking inquiries. Ensure that reservation details are accurately recorded and communicated to the team. - Direct customers at their assigned tables in an efficient manner, ensuring seating arrangements are optimized for guest comfort and restaurant flow. - Handle cash, credit cards, and digital payments accurately. Process bills and issue receipts, ensuring all transactions are completed according to company procedures. - Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure overall customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience. - Ensure that the reception area and cashier desk are clean, organized, and presentable always. - Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure accurate order processing and smooth service delivery. - Be knowledgeable about the menu, special offers, and promotions to assist with upselling and increasing sales. - Work closely with the restaurant management and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and high service standards. - Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Key Requirements: - At least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, preferably as a hostess, receptionist, or cashier. - Must be fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; knowledge of Tamil or Hindi is a bonus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact professionally and courteously with a wide spectrum of consumers. - Demonstrates a high level of accuracy when receiving payments, organizing bookings, and processing orders. - The ability to complete numerous activities at once, operate productively in a fast-paced setting, and manage time effectively. - The ability to respond to consumer inquiries or complaints calmly and professionally. - Clean and professional appearance according to the company's requirements. - Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive, supportive work culture. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, as required.
