Key Responsibilities: Wine & Beverage Service: - Serve wine professionally, including proper handling of wine glasses, pouring techniques, and presentation. - Ensure the appropriate glassware is used for each type of wine, spirit, or cocktail, enhancing the customer’s experience. - Maintain a polished bar setup, paying attention to glass cleanliness, shine, and arrangement. Mixology & Drink Preparation: - Craft signature cocktails, mocktails, and classic beverages with precision. - Incorporate Indian-inspired flavors into unique drink offerings. - Recommend wines and spirits that complement Indian cuisine, demonstrating in-depth pairing knowledge. Customer Interaction: - Engage with customers to provide a warm, memorable dining experience. - Guide guests through wine selections, explaining flavor profiles and pairings confidently. - Handle special requests or adjustments to drinks professionally and promptly. Bar Operations: - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware handling and sanitization. - Monitor inventory of wines, liquors, and bar supplies, ensuring all essentials are stocked. - Operate the POS system for accurate billing of beverages. Compliance & Safety: - Adhere to alcohol-serving regulations and restaurant policies. - Ensure all glassware and equipment meet health and safety standards. Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years as a bartender with a focus on wine and liquor service in a fine dining or upscale environment. - Candidate must reside within the Klang Valley - Proficient in wine and spirit knowledge, including proper handling of wine glasses and presentation techniques. - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality. - Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Must be at least 21 years of age (or as required by local law). - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Indian cuisine and cultural beverage practices. - Mixology certification or formal bartending training. - Experience with inventory management systems and POS software.
