Job Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Develop, implement and monitor project execution plans.
- Task Assignment: Develop and assign project activities, tasks, and milestones. This may involve creating Gantt charts, timelines, or other project management tools to track progress.
- Communication: Serving as a central point of contact for project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and external vendors. Lead and facilitate communication and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed about project status, changes, and key decisions.
- Documentation: Review, approve and maintain accurate project documentation, such as meeting minutes, status reports, and project master deliverable list. Ensuring that documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible to team members and stakeholders.
- Resource Management: Identify resource requirements and manage allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project activities. Monitoring resource availability and utilization to ensure efficient project execution.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and working with project stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies. Proactively addressing risks to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Monitoring project deliverables and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements. Conducting quality reviews and implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain project quality.
- Budget Management: Develop budget planning and tracking project expenditures against budget allocations. Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to optimize resource utilization and minimize cost overruns.
- Team Support: Provide advice and set direction to project team members, including technical support as and when required, within core competencies. Supporting team members with task assignments and resolving any administrative issues that may arise.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead in project post-mortems and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices that can be applied to future projects. Contributing to the development of standardized project management processes and tools.
Job Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, business development or proposal or a similar role.
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of expertise (e.g. Master of Business Administration) and / or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent) would be added advantage.
- Experienced in managing engineering projects in oil, gas and petrochemicals industry with proven experience in managing project’s triple constraints – Cost, Scope and Timeline.
- Strong technical and engineering knowledge related Asset Management Services (e.g.: asset register, asset verification, SCE identification, ECA, SSPS, ERS/FMEA, RBI, RCM, and CMMS application / data conversion).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and proposal management software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of work performance, follow through on assignments, and anticipate, identify, and analyze problems and resolve or recommend course of action for resolution as appropriate.
- Proven ability to independently analyze complex problems, research complex issues, draw appropriate conclusions, and develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Highly organized individual with a high degree of attention to details.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English as well as solid interpersonal skills including communication, collaborative facilitation, coaching, and influencing.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented task.
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and leverage relationships with Senior Management, as well as proven ability to work as part of a project team and deliver results.
- Strong presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade and facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
- Continuous improvement attitude to seek out and implement best practices.
