PE TEACHER

Job Description
As a Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering effective instruction across various subjects, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. You will support students' overall development and help them achieve success in all aspects of the International Baccalaureate program.

Responsibilities
Generally, you will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:
 Teach classes according to the curriculum guidelines
 Prepare a yearly scheme of work as well as termly and weekly plans for the classes to be taught
 Work in conjunction with colleagues to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to learning
 Design appropriate learning strategies to deliver the curriculum
 Supervise, and where possible instruct, students in extra classroom activities such as sports and games, trips and clubs
 Participate in regular duties outside of lesson times
 Set and mark classwork/homework according to the schedule
 Offer all students equal opportunities to learn and maintain an environment in which no student is exposed to discriminatory behaviour
 Undertake tasks associated with the ongoing development of the school’s curriculum.
 Create a classroom environment conducive to the development of critical and creative learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
 Manage student behaviour following the Student Code of Conduct and the Student Handbook.
 Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits
 Help students develop the skills in the IB Learner Profile

Requirements
 Possess a university degree.
 2-3 years’ teaching post-qualified teacher status with the appropriate age level/subject
 Exhibit cultural awareness and sensitivity to effectively engage with diverse student populations, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
 Knowledge and experience of teaching in their subject area
 Willingness to work at Sierramas, Sungai Buloh.
