Job description
Grahawoods is a production company that looks into the manufacturing of wooden pellets and heat treatment.
Position: The Operations Manager would be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Planning production schedules and allocate resources to meet production targets
- Supervise and manage production staff including OT control, purchasing of raw material, cashflow handling, etc
- Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications
- Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement solutions especially on waste reduction
- Prepare and manage the production budget including monitor expenses and optimize costs without compromising quality
- Track orders and ensure that materials are delivered on time and in good condition. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders and deliveries
- Manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts
- Oversees accurate records of production activities, including output, quality, and inventory
- Cross checking regular reports from admin regarding Heat Treatment records, quality inspection, Production sheet report, etc
- Ensure company compliance with industry standards, e.g.: MBSA license renewal, mosquito fogging schedule, ISO 9001:2015
- Stay updated with changes in government standard, e.g.: diesel subsidy, SST, etc
- Continuously search new suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability
- Identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and develop new vendor relationships
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials in compliance with ISO standard
- Review and approve invoices for payment and ensure accuracy
- Generate sales leads through various methods such as cold calling, networking, social media, and referrals
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Entertain customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Candidate with previous manufacturing/operations experience will be an added advantage
- Candidate is able to work under pressure & meet set deadlines
- Candidate has strong communication and presentation skills.
- Candidate must be independent, team player, proactive and has a positive work attitude
- Candidate who can start IMMEDIATELY will be an added advantage
- Candidate must be willing to work at Bukit Naga, Shah Alam
