Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, WCF, etc.) for banking-related systems.
  • Work closely with business analysts and other team members to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code in compliance with coding standards and best practices.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and security of applications, especially in compliance with banking regulations and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
  • Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services into banking applications.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure robust testing procedures, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies in the banking and financial services sector.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of professional experience in .NET development, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Web API, and WCF.
  • Experience with relational databases like SQL Server, MS SQL including writing queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Angular or React (a plus).
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance standards in the banking sector.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and integration patterns is a plus.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, including business stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory standards and practices in the Malaysian banking industry (e.g., BNM, PSD2) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Exposure to financial technologies such as digital banking platforms, core banking systems, and payment systems Investments & Wealth
  • Familiarity with data protection laws and financial regulations in Malaysia (e.g., PDPA, Anti-Money Laundering Act).
  • Certifications in .NET or cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) are a plus.
